Kids Poems To Jingle Your Christmas Tingle

Dad calls Mum a Christmas cracker.
What he means – I'm not so sure.
He laughs and then explains to me,
"It's called a metaphor."

"Mum bedazzles in her ball gown,
silver sequins, silk green straps.
And she's full of great surprises.
Make her mad, and she will snap!"

"Turning heads, she's still a stunner,
shiny lips - so red and huge."

"I get it! Like when Mummy says
you're Ebenezer Scrooge?"

(At this point, Mum stamps on her daughter's foot beneath the table!)
